Morag MacKay

Morag MacKay

Born and brought up on the west coast of Scotland Morag is your friendly face at reception through most of the week.  She has been with the Practice for 8 years. Previously, Morag lived and worked in London for 17 years.

As a music graduate of the R.S.A.M. & D, Morag still sings professionally.  She was a member of Scottish Opera and  during her time there she performed roles such as ‘Adele’ in Die Fledermaus and ‘Papagena’ in the Magic Flute.  West End appearances include ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Chess’.

She has been a regular guest singer on many radio and  television programmes including ‘Highway’, ‘3-2-1’  ‘Songs of Scotland’, ‘Thingummyjig’,  ‘Se Ur Beatha’ and is particularly known for her expertise in Scottish and Gaelic song. She has toured USA and Canada and recorded with Kenneth McKellar.  Morag has also sung to the Queen and Queen Mother at Buckingham Palace.

Recording film soundtracks in London is a regular engagement. Among some of the films she has been involved with are: The Lion King, Evita, Romeo and Juliet, Chocolat, Moulin Rouge, Schrek, Rat Race, Da Vinci Code, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mama Mia, Alice in Wonderland, Nanny McPhee,  Dark Shadows and Batman, to name but a few.  Most recently she sang in a recording session for the closing Olympics Ceremony.

Her interests include: travel, theatre, cinema and keeping fit
